Swedish electric carmaker Polestar has confirmed its plans to put its electric roadster into production under the Polestar 6 name.
Originally revealed back in March as the Polestar O2, the drop top EV is said to showcase the brand’s vision for future sports cars.

The 6 will feature a bespoke bonded aluminium platform complete with in-house developed 800-volt electric architecture already confirmed for the Polestar 5.
Its 650kW and 900Nm dual motor powertrain is said to achieve a 0 to 100km/h dash in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 250km/h.

The car’s launch will be celebrated by 500 numbered units called the Polestar 6 LA Concept edition featuring an exclusive blue exterior, light leather interior and unique 21-inch wheels.
Polestar will be showcasing the concept version at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and The Quail events during Monterey Car Week between 18 and 21 August.

Expected to arrive in 2026, New Zealand customers are able to reserve their build slot from today.
