Peugeot NZ willing to pay for a year’s worth of fuel

Peugeot NZ is so confident about the efficiency of its latest range that it has decided to pay your fuel bill for 12 months (calculated using the annual fuel cost as listed on the government’s fuelsaver website) when you purchase any model with a PureTech engine this month.

Drivers are conscious of rising fuel costs as well as their vehicle’s impact on the environment but not everyone is ready to make the switch to an electric vehicle, says Peugeot.

It plans to solve this problem with its new range of ‘hyper-efficient’ PureTech, Euro 6 engines featuring reduced weight materials and direct injection to three-cylinders.

The PureTech engine has won the International Engine of the Year award four years in a row and is classed as 67 percent cleaner than engines with the previous 2009 Euro 5 classification.

Peugeot’s PureTech range includes the 208, 508, 508 SW, 2008 SUV, 3008 SUV and 5008 SUV.

Peugeot New Zealand CEO, Chris Brown, says the engines are so advanced that they can deliver better fuel efficiency than some of their competitor’s hybrid vehicles which is why they’re offering to pay for your fuel for 12 months.

“Now you can get all the benefits of a hybrid and much more with no compromise on driving performance, and especially appealing right now – no cost on your fuel for 12 months when you purchase any PureTech engine model this month.

“It’s a performance win-win!” says Brown.

The offer stands until the end of July 2022.

*Receive 1 year of fuel with every purchase of a new PEUGEOT with a PureTech engine to the value of the stated ‘Annual fuel cost’ on the resources.fuelsaver.govt.nz website at the date of purchase at participating dealerships in July only, while stocks last.
