You can now rent a BYD Atto 3 in NZ

Europcar New Zealand has secured the exclusive rights to offer the ever-so popular BYD Atto 3 as a rental vehicle at its airport locations.

The fully electric SUV will be available for short-, mid- or long-term rentals from Europcar’s Auckland and Wellington locations and will be available in Christchurch later this month.

For those who have yet to experience an EV, the new addition to the rental company’s fleet could be an affordable introduction to emissions-free travel without the big commitment.

Europcar Mobility Group Australia and New Zealand Managing Director Benoit Garel says Europcar is committed to driving down carbon emissions in the markets it operates in.

He also says Europcar is an advocate for zero-emission vehicles, with the recent arrival of the Atto 3 a significant step towards the Group carbon emission reduction plans.

“Local charging infrastructure is strengthening and consumer demand for alternative lower emission vehicles is increasing,” says Benoit.

“New vehicles such as the ATTO 3 also provide an opportunity for drivers to experience driving an EV for the first time.”

Prices for monthly rental of the ATTO 3 are from $274 per week (incl GST).

More EV hire options will be available from Europcar by the end of 2022.
