Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster a sell out

Aston Martin has recently revealed its most powerful Vantage Roadster yet, limited to just 249 models. And all have already been sold. 

Powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12, the new Vantage Roadster is a bit of a swansong for the namesake as it will be the last Vantage to feature a twelve-cylinder engine.

Speaking of which, it packs an output of 514kW and 753Nm and can achieve a top speed of 321km/h. It’s paired with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission with a mechanical limited slip differential, allowing the Roadster to do 0 to 100km/h in 3.5 seconds.

Aerodynamic performance has also come under focus for the Roadster with much of the bodywork being sculpted to suit. Weight-reducing carbon fibre bodywork like its front bumper, rear diffuser and side sills each guide air around the car in the most efficient manner possible, enough to give it 216kg of downforce.

The Roadster comes without the rear wing found on the V12 Vantage coupe but can be optioned if so desired.

It’s also worth noting that much of the car is based on the hard-topped variant including its suspension components, albeit with a bespoke tune for the adaptive dampers.

To accommodate its widetrack suspension, the car grows 40mm in width over a regular Vantage.

Carbon ceramic brakes come fitted as standard with the front disc diameter measuring in at 410mm which are clamped by six piston calipers, while the rears are 360mm paired with four-piston calipers.

Deliveries of the last V12 powered Vantage Roadster are scheduled to begin in the final quarter of 2022.
