Support Auckland Rescue and Win A JDM Hero Car

November 4, 2024

The Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust is running a lottery with five prizes of JDM hero cars. Each ticket costs $100, there are five stellar cars up for grabs and 25,000 tickets are on offer. There is no limit on the number of tickets that a person can purchase.

Buyers must be 18 years and over to enter. To win car five, the rarest of the bunch, you must purchase three tickets. They’re available at JDMlottery.org.nz

The prize draw will take place on 27 November 2024 at the Helicopter Base at 440 Harvard Lane, Ardmore Airport. All of the cars are second hand but with very few miles on the odo.

Pure aggression even at the rear of the GT-R Nismo.

First prize is a 2023 Nissan GT-R Nismo with delivery miles only.

It’s the ultimate GT-R with 600hp and uses technology pioneered by Nissan’s GT-3 racing program. Choka with carbon fibre bits and bobs, including the rear spoiler, this is a track-ready supercar, capable of 0-100 in around 3sec. In the NZ Autocar review we got 3.04sec for this $308k supercar. See the review here.

A pair of WRXs flanks the Nismo GT-R.

Second prize is a 2018 Subaru WRX STI S208. One of only 450 units ever made this particular car, #053, has been meticulously maintained and has travelled just 12,000km.

Second prize is a rare WRX STI S208 variant.

Specially tuned to 329 hp, with active torque vectoring for ultimate control this is another car that is just as happy on track as it is carving up gravel roads.

Third prize is a close relative, a 2016 Subaru WRX STI S207. Another limited edition, this is #356 of only 400 units, and is certified as having travelled just 4900km.

Second and third prizes are limited-edition WRX STI variants.

Under the hood is 328hp flat four. This takes its inspiration from Subaru’s Nürburgring 24-hour race triumphs. It features Recaro front seats, premium leather accents, and STI’s signature body upgrades.

Yet another WRX, this time a 2012 STI S206.

Fourth prize is another WRX, this time a 2012 Subaru WRX STI S206. Good for 320hp and 431Nm, this is another collector’s item, #169 of 300 produced, and with just 15,500km on the clock.

Feel like boosting your odds of winning? Buy three or more tickets and you gain an extra entry into the exclusive multi-ticket draw for a 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer GSR Evolution 5. This legendary car is only available for those with three or more tickets.

And this one is the rarest of the bunch, hence the extra you must pay to be in to win.

Extremely rare, this one has only 5500km on the clock. It puts out 276hp, and features Brembo brakes, Recaro seats and is optimised for both gravel and track work. It features an uprated turbocharger, lightweight pistons, and stiffened suspension.

Every ticket you buy supports the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter in providing critical, life-saving emergency services. Funds raised from this lottery will be used towards the provision of an emergency, air search, rescue and air ambulance service to serve the Greater Auckland region, the islands of the Hauraki Gulf and the Coromandel Peninsula.

An email will be sent to all ticket holders notifying them of the winner of the prize. The prize winner will be contacted by telephone and notified in writing.
