The Range Rover Velar has been given a suite of updates including a facelift as well as the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model receiving a bump in fully electric range.

Starting with its looks, a new grille up front is flanked by a pair of slim LED headlights while a new lower rear bumper has been fitted alongside dark trim accents.

Inside, a new single floating 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen comes integrated into the centre console to control all key vehicle functions. Redesigned seats with new colours and materials make up the new Velar’s cabin along with a leather-free interior option.

Road noise and other interruptive noise from the outside has now been dampened thanks to the model’s road noise cancellation feature which is only available on models with the panoramic sunroof and fitted with the Meridian sound system.

A new storage area in the centre console has been added to charge devices wirelessly.

The infotainment system can also be updated over the air, ensuring the Velar receives all the latest features.

Fully electric range has also been increased on the P400e PHEV thanks to an increase in battery capacity from 13.6kWh to 19.2kWh. That means it can now travel up to 64km on electric power alone. It can also recharge at up to 50kW.

Not only is Land Rover celebrating the reveal of the enhanced Range Rover Velar, but it’s also welcoming in a new way of reaching potential customers by embracing social media platform TikTok.

“The world of modern luxury is changing and so are expectations for experiences,” says Lennard Hoornik, Chief Commercial Office of Jaguar Land Rover.

“Launching a Range Rover TikTok channel is an opportunity to reach diverse, new audiences with unique content; building advocacy among creators and modern leaders.”
