MG discounts up to $6k off EVs and gifts $3800 in RUC

MG Motor NZ has announced a further round of discounts on its EV range, giving buyers the chance to save up to $9800. The promotional offer applies until the end of October.

The cuts apply to both the ZS EV and MG4 range, with discounts ranging from $3000 to $6000, alongside 50,000km of Road User Charges, worth $3800, included in the offer.

As outlined by EVs and Beyond, the MG4 range now starts at $38,990, with $4000 off the 51, 64, and 77kWh Excite and Essence models, while the X-Power gets a $5000 reduction to $59,990.

This makes the entry-level MG4 now cheaper – inclusive of the free RUC – by around $2000.

The entry-level ZS EV has already been reduced to $40,990, with the Essence receiving a $2000 discount to $43,990, and the long-range model seeing a significant $6000 reduction to $59,990.

Plug-ins discounted too

The HS+ EV is also discounted by up to $4000, with the same RUC offer included.

Chief Operating Officer of MG Motor New Zealand, Harrie Yan, says the brand remains dedicated to making electrified vehicles more accessible.
