March issue out – Car of the Year named

In the latest issue of NZ Autocar magazine, we name the class winners in our annual Car of the Year awards, and crown the overall winner. Read why the Polestar 2 is a deserved champion. In the reviews section we test the Lexus ES hybrid while the Kia Sportage X-Line proves diesel is not a spent force yet in the SUV market.

Speaking of SUVs, there is a diverse trio featured this month with the 4×4 Isuzu MU-X, the slightly manic Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 and for something completely different, the Aston Martin DBX. 

We also drive the made-over Kia Cerato GT, the Mazda CX-30 in 2.0-litre mild hybrid guise and  the Camry SX, one of those ‘self charging hybrids’ as described by Toyota. And there’s an electric van tested in the form of the LDV eDeliver3.

In the classic section we tell the tale of the BMW 318is which won the British Touring Car Championship back in 1992 and on two wheels, we review the KTM 890 Adventure R and revisit the BMW R nineT Roadster.
