GMSV celebrates 10,000th remanufactured Chevrolet Silverado

General Motors Special Vehicles (GMSV) is celebrating a huge milestone since it began remanufacturing vehicles for the New Zealand and Australian markets in 2020, with the 10,000th Chevrolet Silverado rolling off its line recently.

The honour went to a 2024 2500 HD finished in Slate Grey, which was greeted by its new owner Joseph Vrapcenjak as it completed the process of being converted to right-hand drive at GMSV’s facility in Dandenong, Victoria, Australia.

“As we celebrate this milestone for GMSV, I would like to thank our remanufacture partner, Premoso, our dealer partners and our customers for their support across Australia and New Zealand,” says Jess Bala, Managing Director of GM Australia and New Zealand.
  
“We are delighted that Joseph could join the team to celebrate this milestone and see his vehicle roll off the line at the GMSV facility.”

GMSV first began converting American market vehicles to suit Australian and New Zealand roads towards the end of 2020, with the first of these being the Silverado 1500. In 2021, it introduced the Silverado 2500HD as its second model.

The range was further expanded last year with the introduction of the 2023 1500 and the ZR2 variant, followed by the 2024 2500 HD in Australia.
