First GT Model of the Latest 911 Generation

Look out for the release of the new 911 GT on October 19. You can watch it live if you want by visiting the Porsche newsroom but it will be an early rise, kicking off at 5.30am.

Porsche GT3s on mountain pass road

Andreas Preuninger, Director of the GT model line, will present the new car together with brand ambassadors Walter Röhrl and Jörg Bergmeister. Both will share initial drive experiences. It is evidently even “more exhilarating, individual and innovative than its predecessor”.

The new 911 from the GT department in Flacht is coming in two variants, which we guess will be the be-winged GT3 and the slightly more subtle Touring. Both “have become even more emotional, offer customers even more individuality and feature innovative details”, according to Porsche.

If you want to catch the world premiere of the new 911 GT model(s), it will broadcast on 19 October 2024 at 5:30am NZDT.

Go to the Porsche Newsroom at newsroom.porsche.de, or the Porsche channels on YouTube and LinkedIn. It will also be available to watch on demand afterwards.

Sure to be pricey

Porsche’s new 992.2 911 raises the bar but it’s also gone up in price. The base C2 Coupe is now $270,850 while the GTS is now $345,850. The most expensive GTS models are the Cabriolet and Targa versions of the C4 GTS, both retailing for $392,850.

That’s some serious coin, so goodness knows what the GT3 will ask. The previous version started at $384,500, so this new one will likely break into the $400k zone.
