Ducati and Bentley Develop a Unique Diavel V4

Ducati working with Bentley has released a limited-edition motorcycle that incorporates elements of the exclusive Batur into a Diavel V4. The bike is called the Ducati Diavel for Bentley and was revealed at the Art Basel week in Miami Beach, the overseas edition of the European contemporary art fair.

Based on the Diavel V4, Ducati has integrated many styling elements of the Bentley Batur, itself a limited-series model handcrafted by Bentley. The Diavel for Bentley will be a limited production run of 500, with 50 examples reserved for Bentley customers.

The Ducati styling team used Batur cues to influence primarily the horizontal lines of the bike’s profile. The Scarab Green colour comes from the Bentley Mulliner palette and is used throughout the bodywork.

The aggressive lines of the Diavel V4 have also been revised through the technical components: the forged rims, designed and created for this motorbike, recall the shapes of those of the Batur and are painted in Dark Titanium Satin, leaving some machined surfaces visible.

The side air intakes resemble the Batur’s grille while the triangular rear extractors are similar to those of the car. Up front the ribs on the front bonnet are seen in the mudguard and bodywork while the single-seater tail takes styling cues from the double-layer extractor on the back of the car.

Many body components are made from carbon fibre, including the fenders, headlamp cover, side panels, tail piece and also the exhaust, radiator and engine covers.

The rider’s seat finished in black Alcantara is inspired by the interior of the car. On the rear pad is the Bentley logo. The dual outlet exhaust has been redesigned to harmonize with the new lines of the bike.

The Batur is Bentley’s most potent car to date, and just 18 examples are being hand-built by Mulliner. The 50 Diavel for Bentley Mulliners will be available only to Bentley customers. They will be able to configure their Diavel for Bentley with different colours for the saddle, front brake calipers, carbon fibre parts and rims. They can also choose the same colour as their car for the bodywork parts.

The Diavel for Bentley comes with a certificate of authenticity, a passenger seat and a motorcycle cover. Each Diavel for Bentley will be delivered in an exclusive personalized wooden case.

A special jet helmet and a technical jacket are also available, again with the same colour scheme as the motorcycle.

The Diavel for Bentley is powered by an 1158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, making 168hp, with power usable from the lowest revs.
