BYD Auto NZ has formed a team of fleet experts dedicated to assisting with all fleet and leasing enquiries, while recognising that it’s a big shift for businesses to move to an electrified fleet.

The fleet team offers tailored advice and complete solutions to all things fleet-related for small, medium, and large operators.

Covering most regions of the country, BYD Auto NZ’s fleet team consists of Marcus Walker from Andrew Simms Auckland, Rob Soeberg at Bayswater Hawkes Bay, Carl Hayman at Ebbett BYD Hamilton, Chris Viviers at Johnston Ebbett Wellington, and Lea Godfrey at Euromarque BYD Christchurch.

The team has helped several large corporate businesses and not-for-profit organisations already make the move to a BYD electrified fleet with both the Atto 3 and the newly released Dolphin. Tipped as a competitor to the country’s most popular fleet choice, the Toyota Corolla, BYD says the Dolphin will create even more growth opportunities in the fleet space.

BYD Auto NZ is also proud to be on the ‘All of Government Supplier’ list, assisting government departments with the goal of an all-electric fleet by the end of 2025. Currently, there are over 200 BYD vehicles already in Government departments with huge potential for growth with at least five more BYD models to launch before the end of 2024, one of which will be the hotly anticipated electrified ute, guaranteeing a workhorse for those businesses that need towing and off-road capabilities in their fleet.

“BYD has one core mission and that is to cool the earth by one degree Celsius. The fastest way for us to help achieve this is to support New Zealand fleet businesses. With future models on the horizon, it’s a very exciting time for the BYD brand and we can’t wait to continue increasing our growth in the fleet space,” says Warren Willmot, General Manager of BYD Auto NZ.

The local arm of the Chinese carmaker offers Kiwi fleet customers ongoing support by way of a dedicated dealer service network, a dedicated panel and paint network, a full suite of vehicle product guides, and ‘how to’ videos.

Driving innovation through its world-class, clean, and reliable vehicles, BYD Auto NZ cements itself as a long-term NZ fleet supplier providing zero and low-emission energy solutions to customers while helping to decarbonise New Zealand and continuing to strive towards BYD’s global goal of cooling the earth by one degree Celsius.
