Blackwells Mazda celebrate back-to-back-to-back Mazda Dealer of the Year wins

May 23, 2022

Christchurch’s Blackwells Mazda has won Mazda’s supreme Dealer of the Year award for delivering excellence across all parts of its business.

The Mazda Dealership Awards, celebrating business success in 2021, evaluate all areas of a dealership’s operation, including vehicle and parts sales, service, and customer satisfaction results.

As well as Dealer of the Year, trophies were awarded across seven categories including excellence in sales, service, finance, marketing and community contribution.

Mazda New Zealand Managing Director, David Hodge, says like most industries it has been a challenging couple of years for the automotive sector but its dealerships across the country have risen to the challenge.

“It has been a long wait to be able to gather and celebrate our dealers hard work over the last year and we are thrilled to honour those who have exceeded expectations.

“It is the third time Blackwells Mazda have won the Dealer of the Year Award which is further evidence of their strong commitment to achieving success across all areas of their business.

“The Blackwells team not only achieved outstanding sales results but continued to provide top notch customer service, ensuring that every customer who walked into the dealership received the full Mazda experience.”

Seth Ovens, Blackwells Mazda Dealer Principal, says he is proud of the team’s achievement, their dedication to best-in-practice systems and processes, and delivering exceptional customer service.

“Winning the Dealer of the Year Award is a huge privilege and not something we take lightly. The team have worked incredibly hard this year and it is amazing to see that hard work paying off.”

Blackwells Mazda also won Excellence in New Vehicle Sales, Excellence in Aftersales – Service and Excellence in Marketing.

Fagan Mazda in Masterton won the Mazda Foundation Community Excellence trophy. Other category winners were Nicholson Mazda in Whakatane for Excellence in Aftersales – Parts and Auckland’s John Andrew Mazda, who took home both the Excellence in Mazda Finance and Excellence in Lead Management awards.
