Black Fern Katelyn Vahaakolo Becomes an LDV Brand Ambassador

LDV New Zealand is joining forces with Black Fern Katelyn Vahaakolo who will be a brand ambassador.

As part of the year-long collaboration, Vahaakolo will drive an LDV T60 ute. Designed for hard workers and to make life on the road easy, LDV says it is the ideal vehicle for a busy, active lifestyle.

Vahaakolo is a professional rugby player with a growing influence both online and offline. With over 53,000 Instagram followers, she engages a passionate audience that aligns with LDV’s promise to Kiwis, to help them ‘work harder every day.’

Aged 24, Vahaakolo is just as comfortable playing rugby league as she is dominating a rugby union game. Since 2020, she has seamlessly moved between the 13- and 15-a-side codes, often playing with one team on Saturday and the other on Sunday.

Winning smile from LDV's new brand ambassador, Katelyn Vahaakolo.

In 2023, she won the Blues Rugby Team’s Player of the Year. She led the competition in just about every statistic.

LDV New Zealand Head of Brand Marketing, Daile Stephens, says “Katelyn represents the values we champion at LDV—hard work, dedication, and community spirit.

“Partnering with her is an exciting opportunity to connect with grassroots communities and we are reinforcing LDV’s commitment to supporting them, alongside showcasing how the

LDV T60 ute is built for people who give it their all, every day.

“Through her rugby career and strong social presence, Katelyn inspires young athletes and Kiwi kids throughout New Zealand, from the small country towns to our main cities.”

Vahaakolo, who is thrilled to be partnering with LDV, commented “LDV’s support for grassroots communities and hardworking Kiwis aligns perfectly with my own values. I can’t wait to hit the road in the LDV T60 ute and bring this partnership to life.”
