A pair of newcomers for Deepal in Australia

by Peter Louisson
February 28, 2025

Deepal Australia is launching the S05 SUV and the E07, an SUV with ute-like features, both set to land in Australia in 2025.

Whoa, this is a bit radically different, what?

Whether or not Deepal is setting up shop here or not is unclear at present. The S05 is another yet compact electric SUV in a class that is becoming ultra-competitive.

Conventional hatch for the S05.

The E07, on the other hand is something completely different. Its maker claims it has ‘multitruck versatility’ ie, a blend of SUV and Ute. They say it represents “a paradigm shift in automotive design”. Whether it’s the daily commute, family trips, outdoor adventures or weekend trip to Ikea or Bunnings the E07 is rewriting the rules of what’s possible in the electric vehicle world.

Radical rear for the S07, all in the interest of practicality though.

It joins the more conventional S05, the entry-point SUV in the Deepal.

Cormac Cafolla, General Manager Deepal Australia, commented: “The S05 is the beautiful smaller sibling to the S07, making it a great choice for anyone who wants all the innovation and performance of our EV tech, but in a more compact package. It may be slightly smaller in size but as big in personality.”

The E07 Deepal describes as a game-changer. It’s a unique mix of SUV and mini-truck, wrapped up in a luxury trim. It’s the automotive equivalent of a multi-tool, one that can take you on mountain trails, drop the kids off at school and still throw all your tools safely in the back.

“The S05 and E07 are going to give Aussies some exciting, practical options for stepping into the future of electric driving without compromising on style or performance.”

Details on specifications, powertrains and pricing for the S05 and E07 will be revealed later this year.
