Zeekr, the premium EV brand under Geely’s portfolio, has officially confirmed New Zealand pricing for its new 7X SUV, promising luxury, performance and ultra-fast charging at a sharp entry point.
The five-seat electric SUV, designed in Gothenburg, Sweden, will debut locally at the Giltrap Group Supercar Show in Auckland this weekend (September 20–21). Prices start from $69,990 plus on-road costs for the base RWD, $79,990 for the Long Range RWD, and $94,990 for the flagship Performance AWD. Deliveries are expected to start in November for those that have already placed an order.

The 7X introduces the world’s first “Golden Battery,” capable of charging from 10 to 80 per cent in as little as 13 minutes on a 360kW charger. Models use an 800V system to support future-proofed charging speeds of up to 450kW DC, with a standard 22kW AC onboard charger for faster home replenishing.
Performance is equally headline-grabbing. The dual-motor AWD version produces 475kW and 710Nm, good for a 0–100km/h sprint in just 3.8 seconds. Even the single-motor RWD models deliver strong outputs of 310kW and 440Nm, with ranges quoted at 480km for the standard battery and up to 615km WLTP for the Long Range.
Inside, the 7X aims to set a new benchmark for “luxury tech.” A spacious cabin offers heated and cooled massage seats (Performance), a 16-inch HD touchscreen running on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8295 chip, and an optional 36.2-inch augmented reality head-up display. A full suite of driver assistance features – from adaptive cruise to 3D surround view and automatic parking – comes standard.

Michael Jones, Zeekr NZ Brand Manager, calls the 7X “a game-changer” for Kiwi drivers:
“It delivers sports car-rivalling performance with the confidence of long range and the convenience of ultra-fast charging – all wrapped in a luxurious, high-tech package.”
The New Zealand launch follows strong demand in Australia, where more than 2,000 pre-orders were placed after pricing was announced in August. Local orders taken before 30 November will include a complimentary three-year service package.
The 7X joins the Zeekr X and 009 in the brand’s growing local line-up, distributed through Giltrap Group’s NordEast division. The aim is to deliver 5,000 electrified vehicles into the New Zealand market within three years.
