Volvo Cars New Zealand has confirmed the arrival of the all-new EX30 Cross Country, expanding its electric SUV range with an off-road-ready option.

The EX30 Cross Country builds on the compact EX30, introducing the usual CC design cues, improved ground clearance and all-wheel drive Twin Motor Performance. Despite its adventurous focus, it’s no slouch on tarmac – Volvo claims a 0–100km/h sprint time of just 3.7 seconds.

Daile Stephens, Volvo Cars New Zealand Brand Manager, says the new model is tailored to Kiwi buyers who want one car to do it all.

“The EX30 Cross Country ticks all the boxes. It is off-road capable for outdoor adventures, compact for manoeuvring in the city, and all-electric to keep costs down and your carbon footprint light,” she said.

Priced from $69,990, the EX30 Cross Country joins the refreshed 2026 line-up, which Volvo says will keep pricing stable despite global pressures. Highlights include:

  • EX30 – repositioned to $63,990, and claimed to have the lowest carbon footprint Volvo to date
  • EX30 Cross Country – new rugged electric SUV, $69,990
  • XC40 AWD – return of the popular all-wheel-drive model, $76,990
  • XC60 – refreshed with a new Ultra Dark variant, from $87,990
  • XC90 – seven-seat flagship now available from $108,990

Volvo says the updated range underscores its position as one of the ‘best-value European SUV brands’ in New Zealand, balancing safety, design, and electrification with everyday usability for local buyers.

All 2026 models will come standard with a five-year/150,000km warranty, a five-year digital services package (including Google apps and remote functions via the Volvo Car App), plus a three-year service plan with unlimited kilometres and 24/7 roadside assistance.
