A new name has entered the hypercar arena; Vittori, an Italian startup that has just revealed its first model, the Turbio, in Miami. The low-slung hybrid V12 hypercar makes 1100hp and uses AI-assisted design, though the company insists the tech played only a supporting role.

Designed in collaboration with Pininfarina, the Turbio’s styling fuses classic Italian drama with modern aerodynamics. Its sharp front end features a hexagonal grille flanked by slim headlights, while the sculpted rear showcases quad exhausts, a massive diffuser, and bronze highlights set against deep blue paintwork. The cabin takes inspiration from McLaren, with a vertically oriented touchscreen, minimalist layout, and digital instrument cluster.

Power comes from a 6.8-litre hybrid V12, developed with engineering firm Italtecnica, paired with an electric motor on the front axle for a combined 1100hp. Vittori claims a 0–100km/h time of 2.5 seconds.

“Our dream was to create a beautiful, high-speed vehicle that evoked emotion and a sense of connection,” said Vittori founder and CEO Carlos Cruz. “We didn’t want to make another supercar, we wanted to build something that feels like flight, like sculpture, like power at your fingertips.”

Unlike many boutique startups, Vittori says its first Turbio prototype is fully functional, with production set to begin in Italy next year. Only 50 examples will be built worldwide, priced from around US$2.5 million, or roughly NZ$4.2 million.

For a debut effort, the Turbio looks to combine old-school Italian passion with modern innovation; proof that even in an AI-assisted age, there’s still room for a soulful V12.
