To mark the arrival of the Model Year 2026 Corvette, GMSV will offer 50 examples of a limited Corvette Stingray R launch edition. The limited production run pays homage to Corvette’s racing heritage.

Super-sexy wheels for Stingray R.

This model does not officially form part of the MY26 Corvette line-up; it is a limited-run, special edition for early adopters.

Further details on spec and pricing for the full MY26 Corvette range, which includes Stingray, E-Ray, and Z06 models, will be confirmed later this year.

Still a great look, even in grey.

Meantime, this limited Corvette Stingray R launch edition features a distinctive exterior package. It comprises 20-spoke gloss black forged aluminium wheels with a red stripe, a carbon fibre roof, a unique Stingray R build plate and an array of other standard features. GMSV says the Stingray R launch edition delivers a unique driving experience as expected of a limited-edition package.

Corvette Racing upgrades for Stingray R.

It will be available via the GMSV dealer network across Australia and New Zealand, with 50 units offered. The Stingray R is produced in the 3LT Coupe configuration only. Delivery of the first vehicles is expected in January 2026.

Interior of Stingray R reconfigured for 2026.

GMSV has priced the Stingray R at $NZ245,000 plus ORCs.

NB: The images are of overseas models in left-hand drive format. New Zealand Stingray R will naturally have the wheel on the correct side.
