Ford’s updated 2026.50 Ranger and Everest line-up will feature broader V6 availability, fresh styling, expanded technology and a revised model range. It will land in New Zealand from mid-2026.
Ford has already announced the demise of its 154kW/500Nm bi-turbo 2.0-litre, and so the four-cylinder 2026 models will feature an update of the single turbo 2.0-litre four-cylinder, which has a new timing chain and a revised fuel-injection system. Power is rated at 125kW, with torque at 405Nm, delivered from 1750rpm. It will team up with the 10-speed automatic transmission. Maximum braked towing capacity stays at 3500kg across the range (barring Raptor).

There will be an expanded availability of Ford’s 184kW/600Nm 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel on more Ranger and Everest variants to make up for the demise of the bi-turbo.

New look, more tech
Ford has refreshed the look of both model ranges, though the changes are fairly mild. Chrome detailing has been phased out on many variants in favour of gloss and matte black accents, darker trims and refreshed wheel options.
Tech upgrades for Ranger
- 12-inch infotainment touchscreen standard on XL and XLT
- Dual-zone climate control added to XL
- Rear air vents for all double cabs
- Driver Assist Technology (DAT) bar standard on XL and XLT cab-chassis, enabling advanced safety systems even when owners fit custom bodies
- Standard heavy-duty suspension on XLT double cab chassis
Ford says the introduction of a factory XLT cab-chassis responds to buyer demand for fleet flexibility.

New Wolftrak variant
A brand-new addition to the New Zealand range is the Ranger Wolftrak, a limited-edition model offered exclusively with the 3.0-litre V6 and a double-cab pickup body.
It features:
- Full-time 4WD
- 17-inch Asphalt Black alloys
- Off-road-focused drive modes (Mud/Rut, Sand)
- Long-legged sports bar
- Distinctive “Zest” accents and Traction Green hero colour
- 360-degree camera with trailer guidance
- Vinyl seats with Wolftrak embroidery
- Auxiliary switch bank for accessory fit-outs
Ford describes Wolftrak as the blend of practicality and rugged styling buyers have been demanding.

Ranger Tremor returns — with V6 power
Also returning is the Ranger Tremor, now upgraded with the 3.0-litre V6 for the first time. The performance bump transforms it into one of the most capable off-road Rangers yet.
Key features include:
- Bilstein position-sensitive dampers with external reservoirs
- Extra ground clearance (26mm) and wider track
- Rock Crawl mode, Trail Turn Assist and Trail Control
- Steel bash plate, heavy-duty EPAS, sports bar and tow hooks
- AT3 all-terrain tyres on 17-inch wheels
- Command Grey hero colour option
Ford says the V6 Tremor arrives in response to strong customer demand for a more powerful adventure-spec Ranger.
Ford has discontinued the Ranger Sport for 2026.5.

Everest: new entry model and broader powertrain mix
The Everest SUV range has been streamlined with the introduction of a new entry model, the Everest Active, which replaces the mid-spec Trend.
Standard equipment includes:
- Leather-accented seats
- 12-inch infotainment screen
- 18-inch alloy wheels
- LED headlights
- Privacy glass
- Tyre pressure monitoring
Active is available exclusively with the 2.0-litre engine.
The rest of the line-up remains:
- Everest Sport – now available with 2.0L or 3.0L
- Wildtrak and Platinum – V6 only
When will they arrive?

Ford New Zealand says full specifications will be released closer to launch, with first customer deliveries scheduled for mid-2026.
