Toyota NZ opens first ‘Super Store’ in Auckland

If you’re in the market for a new or used Toyota, you may want to pay a visit to the brand’s new ‘Super Store’ in Mt Wellington, Auckland.

When it opens tomorrow, the new dealership will become Toyota New Zealand’s largest site at more than 21,000 square metres, enough space to house over 250 vehicles.

An expansive aftersales department will also call the new digs home with a capacity for up to 33 workshop bays on hand, racks and shelves full of parts, as well as 41 team members.

The facility also meets EnviroMark certification thanks to the use of recycled materials like aluminium joinery during the building’s upgrade, while all of the lighting fixtures have also been upgraded to LED. Up to 20,000 litres of rainwater captured on the roof can be stored on the premises for use in the car wash and wet bays too.

Thanks to the installation of 22 EV chargers, customers can ensure their range is topped up before hitting the road.

“We’re excited to launch this new Super Store, the largest Toyota store in the country. It is a special addition to the 16 dealerships we operate across New Zealand.”

For Toyota NZ Chief Executive Officer Neeraj Lala, he says that stores like these are the backbone of the business in New Zealand.

Auckland City Toyota’s ‘Super Store’ is located at 8 Forge Way, Mt Wellington, Auckland, and will officially open its doors on December 12, 2023.
