As promised here, the Giltrap Group has revealed some of the automotive stars of the upcoming Starship Supercar Show. It takes places at Giltrap Groups’ headquarters, 19 Great North Rd, Grey Lynn. The show runs over the weekend of the 20th and 21st of September, 2025. This is the first weekend of the school holidays.

The groundbreaking success of Kiwi racer Brendon Hartley will be celebrated at this year’s Starship Supercar Show. His 2018 Toro Rosso Formula One car will be there. And so too a replica of the Porsche 919 he drove to victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

A four-time World Endurance Champion, Hartley put New Zealand back on the map in Formula One. He made 25 starts for Toro Rosso in 2017-18. And he became the first Kiwi F1 driver to score points in 44 years. Seven years later, the team is now Racing Bulls, with Liam Lawson behind the wheel.

Hartley said, “I wish I could be at this event. It’s the sort of show I dreamed about going to when I was growing up. Still, it’s great to have my F1 car there, and even better that Kiwis will be able to get close to it. As a parent, the work that Starship does means more than ever. To be able to support such an awesome cause is amazing.”

The third edition of the Supercar Show promises to be the biggest yet. The total collection is valued at well over $100 million. Ultra-rare cars include a pair of Aston Martin Valkyries, and a 1964 Lamborghini 400GT. And the only Ferrari SF90XX in New Zealand will be there.

“Our goal is to create an unforgettable experience for car fans of all ages”, says Michael Giltrap, Joint Managing Director of the Giltrap Group.

“Our collection this time spans almost a century, celebrating every era of high-performance cars, from a 1929 Bentley to the space-age McLaren Speedtail.”

Porsche fans will be able to see the covers come off one of the rarest 911s ever built: the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25. Celebrating 25 years of victories at Le Mans and record-setting runs at the Nürburgring, the ‘25’ is the result of a joint venture between Porsche and Manthey. They wanted to create the ultimate track day and race car. Only 30 were built, and the Supercar Show will feature the only one in the Southern Hemisphere.

For the track fanatics with incredibly deep pockets.

The 522kW (700bhp) Porsche will sit alongside the latest and most sought-after road-going 911, the S/T. They form the centrepieces of the motorsport-themed Stuttgart Showcase created for the September Show.

Almost affordable at $600k.

A new-look Hall of Hypercars will feature some of the world’s fastest and most desirable cars. The always popular Ferrari F40 is a star of the Classic Supercar display.

The 2025 Show also introduces a new collection dubbed the Rally Gods. The collection features a celebration of the 1980s, including the late Possum Bourne’s first Subaru Rally Car, a Group B Audi Quattro, and one of only 207 road-going versions of the World Championship-winning Lancia 037.

Lancia 037. If only the modern company made them like this.

More than 80 cars, ranging from Formula One racers to ultra-rare hypercars and classic supercars, will go on display at the eight sessions staged across the weekend.

The Supercar Show has raised over $400,000 for the Starship Foundation since 2021. This is a testament to the generosity of car owners and Kiwi businesses. All money raised from ticket sales goes towards supporting the vital work of Starship.

The ticket price remains $25, the same as in 2023, with children aged four and under admitted free of charge.
