The Starship supercar show was a sellout and raised almost one-quarter of a million dollars for the Starship Foundation.

It was also the biggest event yet, surpassing the two prior shows. Some travelled from as far away as Fiji just to attend.
In a single weekend, more than 8000 car fans flocked to the Giltrap Group HQ in Auckland’s Grey Lynn. They’d come to see a collection of supercars valued at more than $NZ125m.
Through ticket sales and a charity auction, the event raised $232,000 for the Starship Foundation.
Joanna Simon, CEO of the Starship Foundation, said: “A huge congratulations to the entire Giltrap team and all their supporters on the success of the third Starship Supercar Show.

“Thank you for helping us to provide the very best care, equipment and innovation to children from every corner of Aotearoa. We are so grateful for your support”.
The 2025 event attracted the biggest crowd yet, and several fans bought tickets for multiple sessions. One attendee reckons he took over 900 photos.
Michael Giltrap, Executive Director, Giltrap Group, commented: “The sheer joy on the faces of people who were greeted by an actual Formula One car as they walked in, to the excitement at seeing their dream car, was incredible.”

“Thanks to the generosity of the owners, we were able to put together a collection of 91 cars that was truly world-class. Some of these cars were worth several million dollars, but there was no hesitation in putting them on show. And in many cases, it was the owners who got in touch with us. I can’t emphasise enough just how amazingly generous they and countless other businesses were in getting behind this event.”
Planning is already underway for the 2027 event. Stay up to date at www.giltrap.com.
