Shane van Gisbergen and Jessica Dane marry

NASCAR star Shane van Gisbergen has announced that he and long time girlfriend, Jessica Dane, are now husband and wife.

Speaking after his Watkins Glen win, the Trackhouse Racing star let slip he had gotten hitched.

He and Dane had been an item since 2022 when he was racing in the Supercars series and she was involved in Triple Eight Racing.

The pair lived together in Australia with their dog Ronald before moving to the United States. Dane had a role at Triple Eight racing and later joined GM as a motorsports integration manager.

She then became the Corvette Racing program manager.

Midway through last year, Dane sold her 30 percent stake in Triple Eight as her life is now in the US.

Van Gisbergen and Dane kept their relationship and the wedding low key. In a video SVG talks about his private life, and his dogs, one of which, Ronald, a ridgeback, is a regular at race meetings. They’ve had him since 2023 when he was six months old. 

Now aged three, Watkins Glen was the first time he had visited Victory Lane. Jessica evidently named him. Their smaller dog, a red heeler, isn’t suited to track life. “We can’t take him anywhere” says SVG.

Van Gisbergen mentioned how stoked he was having his father, Robert, trackside for his latest win. He is evidently staying on for the Richmond and Daytona rounds as well.

“It’s always cool to have him here. He used to come to a lot of races when I was in Australia.” But the US is a bit far to travel.

Van Gisbergen’s next NASCAR Cup Series race is at Richmond on Sunday, August 17.
