RR Sport SV Carbon is the flagship model

The RR Sport SV Carbon blends dynamics and luxury and becomes the performance flagship for the brand. Offered alongside Range Rover Sport SV and SV Black, the Sport SV Carbon features carbon finishes and exclusive colours.

Essentially a RR with carbon bits applied, inside and out to make it the most expensive RR yet.

The new model will debut shortly at Range Rover House during Monterey Car Week.

Several different colour options will be available. The standard Forged Carbon Exterior Pack includes carbon fibre detailing, including for the exhaust tips. A Twill Carbon finish, with a distinctive diagonal weave, and exposed carbon fibre bonnet are also optionally available.

Clean front to the RR Sport SV Carbon.

Finishing the model are lightweight 23-inch forged alloy wheels complemented by black brake calipers. An option for those with a dislike of unsprung weight is the ultra-lightweight 23-inch Carbon Fibre Wheel pack. And for the ultimate in braking performance, there are carbon ceramic brakes with calipers in a range of colours, all cost options.

Now that is sexy, and so cha-ching.

In the cabin there are four interior themes comprising perforated Windsor Leather seats that come in Ebony, Rosewood/Ebony, Light Cloud/Ebony or Cinder Grey/Ebony. The latter are for those who might not want leather, replaced instead with Ultrafabric material. Forged Carbon detailing extends to the seat backs and dashboard, with a Twill Carbon finish also available. Extended Moonlight Chrome detailing and SV illuminated tread plates give the interior added sparkle.

Rather sweet tread plates.

Ryan Miller, Product and Services Marketing Director, said customers now have the choice of the blacked-out Rover Sport SV Black, or the new Range Rover Sport SV Carbon, with a luxury-performance take on the SUV. He says it is the “ultimate expression of lightweight performance.” Not that all that carbon makes it exactly lightweight per se; it still scales up at 2500kg. But the carbon wheels will reduce unsprung weight by around 34kg all up.

Sweet interior too, with subtle use of carbon.

Under the hood, a carbon fibre SV engine cover is fitted to the 474kW/750Nm 4.4-litre Twin Turbo V8 mild hybrid petrol engine.

The RR SV line-up features 6D Dynamics Suspension. This system comprises hydraulic interlinked air suspension with pitch and roll control for optimum composure when cornering, accelerating and braking.

Fancy seats come in four different finishes. The RR Sport SV is customisation central.

In the cabin is Body and Soul Seat (BASS) technology, essentially the use of tactile transducers. It creates an immersive audio experience that front seat occupants can feel and hear.
