Rimac Nevera 15th Anniversary Edition – Goodwood Debutant

Only nine Anniversary edition cars are being build, each costing roughly $NZ4.2m. However, new owners get the bespoke luggage set as part of the deal; all options are included in the price. It will take to the hillclimb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Rimac is celebrating 15 years of its electric hypercar’s existence with an imaginatively named Nevera 15th Anniversary Edition.

Each is finished in a new shade of fashionable copper and it marks the first use of matte paint on the Nevera. There’s also fully exposed gloss carbon fibre on the lower half of the car. Along the bonnet, roof and huge rear spoiler is a circuit board-inspired pattern. That tells onlookers this is fully electric.

Also finished in the same copper colour are the dual-tone alloy wheels. They are exclusive to the 15th Anniversary edition. Inside, and there’s more copper-tinged switchgear and copper-painted surfaces, plus one-of-nine badging just behind the driver.

Owners can opt for bold black or pristine white upholstery. The seats also sport contrasting copper leather and ‘15’ embossed on the headrests.

Copper colour for wheels as well.

Power comes from four electric motors, a pair at each end. They combine to produce 1407kW and 2340Nm of torque. The special Nevera can apparently hit 100 from standstill in 1.9 seconds, which is significantly faster than an F1 car for longitudinal acceleration. Top speed is claimed to be over 400km/h, which is evidently the highest for any EV. Range is around 500km, thanks to a 120kWh battery pack.

The first of the nine special Rimacs will make its public debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, partaking in the hill climb, despite it being a customer car. Last year, the Nevera Time Attack edition set the production car record for the course (49.32 seconds). The fastest time (39.08sec) up the track was set in 2022 by the McMurtry Spéirling, also electric.

Rimac’s founder and CEO, Mate Rimac, said of the milestone “Honestly, when I started to tinker with my first car in a garage, I couldn’t have even dreamt of being where we are 15 years later.

“There were so many times in the early years that we really thought the company wouldn’t make it, so reaching the 15-year milestone felt like it was worthy of a celebration.

“The 15th Anniversary Edition Nevera is the car that marks our progress, revealing just how far we’ve come.”
