Porsche has unveiled the Macan GTS, a new variant of its all-electric SUV designed to deliver sharper performance and more dynamic handling. With up to 420kW of overboost power, a rear-biased weight balance, and a specially tuned sports air suspension, the GTS brings classic Porsche driving engagement to the electric era.

Serious performance, classic GTS feel
Under the skin, the Macan GTS shares its rear-axle electric motor with the Macan Turbo, a 230mm, 900-amp silicon carbide pulse inverter unit that forms part of a dual-motor setup. Combined, the system delivers 380kW in standard form and up to 420kW and 955Nm in overboost mode via Launch Control.

That translates to 0–100km/h in 3.8 seconds, 0–200km/h in 13.3 seconds, and a top speed limited to 250km/h. The 100kWh battery offers a range of up to 586km (WLTP) and supports 270kW DC fast charging, allowing a 10–80 per cent top-up in 21 minutes.
A Sport Chrono Package is standard, featuring the “Track Mode” from the Taycan. This setting enhances battery cooling to sustain power under prolonged high-performance driving which should be ideal for track use or spirited road runs.

Lower, sharper, and more engaging
The Macan GTS sits 10mm lower than other variants and features model-specific tuning for its air suspension and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Combined with Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and an electronically controlled rear differential lock, the system promises heightened agility and precision through corners.

A rear-axle steering option further improves manoeuvrability and stability, while the 48:52 rear-biased weight distribution helps maintain the traditional Porsche “rear-drive” feel.

Even the sound has been tuned for emotion with Porsche’s Electric Sport Sound (PESS) featuring two unique GTS-specific profiles in Sport and Sport Plus modes.
Distinctive design and colours
Visually, the GTS is distinguished by black exterior detailing, tinted headlights, and widened side skirts. A new Sport Design Package, set to roll out across the Macan range in 2026, debuts first on the GTS. It adds bespoke front and rear aprons and a black diffuser panel.

The GTS rides on 21-inch Macan Design wheels in Anthracite Grey as standard, with 22-inch RS Spyder Design wheels available as an option.
Premium interior with GTS details
Inside, the Macan GTS features extended Race-Tex upholstery, black leather detailing, and 18-way adaptive sports seats as standard. Buyers can opt for a GTS Interior Package, available in Carmine Red, Slate Grey Neo, or Lugano Blue, coordinating the cabin’s stitching, seatbelts, and dashboard trim with the exterior paintwork.

Carbon-fibre accents, a GT Sports steering wheel, and digital “GTS” instrumentation complete the sporty atmosphere. The cabin’s 3D display even reflects the actual colour of the car.
Technology and practicality updates
Alongside its performance enhancements, the Macan GTS benefits from the latest tech updates across the model range. These include a Porsche Digital Key, AI-powered Voice Pilot, expanded parking assist functions, and an updated infotainment suite with in-car gaming.

Towing capacity has also increased to 2500kg, reinforcing its practicality despite its performance focus.
The new Macan GTS is available to order now with an MRP of $202,000, with first arrivals expected in NZ in the second quarter of 2026.
