Nissan updates Patrol

by Kyle Cassidy

Nissan Patrol on rocks under a clear sky

Nissan New Zealand now has the updated 2025 Patrol on sale here. It introduces what Nissan says is a ‘modern and premium cabin experience’ that delivers ‘cutting-edge technology and comfort on or off the road’.

The majority of the MY25 Patrol updates are to the cabin. This features two interior colour schemes, with Patrol customers now able to choose between a black leather-accented layout, or a chestnut palette, complete with woodgrain highlights through the dash and door, and quilted leather accented seats.

Cabin technology improves with the MY25 model gaining a 12.3-inch central touchscreen for connectivity needs. Wireless Apple CarPlay features as does Android Auto and in-built navigation.

There is also a new wireless device charger, and a 7.0-inch customisable TFT Driver Dash Display.  This also doubles as the display for the MY25 Patrol’s new Off-Road Monitor, offering you a view of what’s happening with the vehicle when off the beaten path.

New Zealand will receive the flagship Ti-L grade which retails for $118,990. Other new extras include a premium 13-speaker Bose stereo, a centre console cool box, and a digital high-definition Intelligent Rear View Mirror.

The Patrol continues to be powered by a 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine, producing 298kW at 5800rpm and 560Nm at 4000rpm. A seven-speed automatic transmission has a manual mode and Adaptive Shift Control. Fuel consumption remains at 16.2L/100km according to rightcar.govt.nz

“Practicality, capability and comfort have long been the hallmarks of the Patrol, and these 2025 updates only improve the recipe that has made our flagship SUV so enduringly popular among adventurous New Zealand families,” says Nissan Oceania, Managing Director, Andrew Humberstone.

“The 2025 Patrol delivers improved cabin comfort, and technology that only enhances the drive experience whether you’re on- or off-road, without altering any of those core fundamentals.”
