Nissan Australia has wasted no time in getting their friends at Premcar working on a rugged version of the all-new Navara.
Set to retain the Navara PRO-4X Warrior name, this concept previews how tough the new double-cab can, and likely will be.

Now onto its third iteration of the Warrior, Premcar CEO Berni Quinn notes that his outfit have converted over 12,000 locally remanufactured vehicles to Australian customers.
Like previous versions, this Warrior concept ups the ante on the Navara by adding all the off-road gear that enthusiasts would usually have to fit themselves.
This includes suspension lift, with the front coil springs finished in Lava red. It also gets a wider wheel track, with 17-inch wheels wrapped in 32-inch all-terrain tyres.

At the front, it gets a black bullbar which replaces the standard bumper, and reportedly improves approach angle protection.
It also gets fender flares, and a light bezel finished in Lava red.
Beneath the Warrior Concept, there is enhanced underbody protection, also finished in the red hue.

At the rear, it gets a tailgate assist system, and a black sports bar with Warrior branding.
Despite the upgraded suspension components, the Warrior retains its 3.5-tonne towing capacity.
As is the case with the previous iterations of the Warrior, it’s likely no engine upgrades have been made, meaning it retains the same 2.4-litre turbo diesel engine with 150kW/470Nm outputs.
Though this model is yet to be confirmed for production, the Nissan Australia team seemed confident it would come to the market at some point.
