Motorsport Diary: Kiwis racing overseas this weekend

It’s another busy weekend ahead for Kiwi motorsport. 

Nine drivers will fly the flag across six countries in a mix of disciplines.

All eyes are on Austria’s Red Bull Ring, where Liam Lawson returns to familiar territory for Formula 1 Round 11. Louis Sharp continues his impressive rookie Formula 3 campaign with Rodin Motorsport.

In America, Shane van Gisbergen tackles Atlanta Motor Speedway in Round 18 of the NASCAR Cup Series.

Over in the Netherlands, Cormac Buchanan lines up for Round 10 of the Moto3 series at TT Circuit Assen.

Back in Australia, it’s a double-header at Queensland Raceway. Ayrton Hodson is back on track in the TA2 muscle car series Australia. Meantime, Tony Quinn teams up with Matthew McCutcheon in the Australian Production Cars Championship.

In Europe, Hayden Paddon returns to the stages for the Ypres Rally in Belgium alongside co-driver Jared Hudson.

And Shane van Gisbergen and Scott McLaughlin will be back behind the wheel early next week for Rounds 5 and 6 of the U.S. Legend Car Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
