Motorsport Diary: Kiwis racing overseas this Matariki weekend
While things seem slightly quieter this weekend, the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Formula E and the 24 Hours of Spa ensure there’s plenty of quality action around the world.
There’s also the Austrian Grand Prix, which is more than enough for us all to get our motorsport fix.

Superspeedway oval racing returns as the Xfinity Series heads to Tennessee.
Shane van Gisbergen sits 12th in the regular season standings but has qualified for the playoffs through his two wins.

The famed 24 Hours of Spa returns for another blockbuster edition, with one of the largest GT fields seen.
Three Kiwis tackle the race this year, with Jaxon Evans joining Joel Eriksson and Thomas Preining in a Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) at Phantom Global Racing.
In the Pro-AM class, Earl Bamber and Brendon Leitch share Earl Bamber Motorsports’ Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) with Adrian D’Silva and Kerong Li.

Just four races remain in the 2024 Formula E World Championship, two of which are in Portland this weekend.
Cassidy holds a 25-point lead in the Driver’s Championship, with Mitch Evans third and a further 10 points back.
Evans’s and Cassidy’s Jaguar TCS Racing outfit lead the Team’s Championship by 73 points over Porsche and could clinch the title as early as this weekend.
