The rapid expansion of the MG marque in New Zealand continues with the addition of new dealerships in the South Island, with Marlborough MG and Timaru MG both now open for business.

The two new sites have increased MG’s representation in the Mainland from four to six locations, complementary to existing MG outlets in Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill.

“The centenary of MG Motor is proving to be a momentous one for the marque here in New Zealand as the brand undergoes exciting expansion,” said Arek Zywot, Country Manager of MG New Zealand.

“We’re thrilled to be growing our brand presence and bringing our outstanding new model range, including the multi-award winning MG4, to a wider audience spanning the length of the country, from Whangarei to Invercargill.

“People who might not have had the chance to experience a new MG will now be able to make a properly informed decision when it comes to buying their next new vehicle, backed with the peace of mind of our acclaimed seven-year unlimited kilometre warranty.”

Marlborough MG is the newest addition to the nationwide network and the MG team consists of Dealer Principal, Simon Wakelin, as well as Sales Consultants, Sky Boskett-Barnes and Matthew Grigg.

“There has been unprecedented interest in MG, especially following its recent Car of the Year successes here in New Zealand,” said Wakelin.

“We’re really enthusiastic about representing MG in the Marlborough region and feel there is real momentum building with the brand, there are exciting times ahead.”

The new Marlborough MG dealership is part of Mayfield Motorworld, located at 6 Hutcheson Street in Blenheim, and offers new vehicle sales, after-sales and servicing, as well as parts.

The doors to the third southernmost MG dealership in the country are open and the team is ready to help the people of South Canterbury get behind the wheel of a new MG.

“MG is a brand on the move and we’re really thrilled to offer the full range of new MG models to our customers,” said Keryn Pow, Business Manager of Timaru MG.

“We look forward to seeing more MGs on the streets around Timaru and the surrounding regions.”

Joining Keryn as part of the team representing MG in Timaru is Sales Consultant, Pierre Guinan. New vehicle sales take place at 19 Theodosia St, with a separate premise catering for service and parts.
