Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ joins Kiwi line-up at $393,500

Mercedes-Benz New Zealand has confirmed the arrival of the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+, the most track-focused model yet in the AMG GT Coupé family. Priced from $393,500 drive-away, the GT 63 PRO is now available to order through authorised Mercedes-Benz retailers nationwide.

Sitting at the top of the range, the PRO builds on the already potent AMG GT 63 with a tuned version of AMG’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, delivering 450 kW and 850 Nm; an increase of 20 kW and 50 Nm. On track, the GT 63 PRO will sprint from 0–200 km/h in just 10.9 seconds, half a second quicker than the GT 63, before reaching a top speed of 317 km/h.

To sharpen handling, AMG has fitted active roll stabilisation, rear-axle steering, active aerodynamics, and the fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system. Cooling has also been upgraded with extra radiators and active ventilation for the transfer case and differentials, ensuring consistent performance under heavy track use.

Aerodynamics take inspiration from the AMG ONE hypercar, with a new carbon-fibre front apron, underbody air deflectors, and a fixed rear wing. Together, these measures reduce front-axle lift by over 30kg and boost rear downforce by 15kg, improving stability at speed. The GT 63 PRO rides on 21-inch forged wheels in Himalaya Grey matte finish and features AMG’s ceramic composite brakes with massive 420 mm front discs.

Inside, the focus is on performance with AMG sports seats, a carbon-fibre package, and an AMG Performance steering wheel in Nappa leather and microfibre. Despite its track credentials, the PRO retains luxury touches such as ventilated seats, head-up display, Burmester® audio, and advanced driver assistance features. Buyers can further personalise their cars with the AMG Night Package ($1,900), an extended Carbon Fibre Package ($5,200), or the Burmester® high-end 3D surround sound system ($8,900).

Michael Schiebe, Chairman of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, described the GT 63 PRO as “the sportiest model in our AMG GT family… the ideal choice if you want to enjoy your AMG GT on the road but also tackle fast laps on the racetrack.”
