You might want to adjust the brightness of whatever device you’re reading this on as Maserati has just unveiled a very dark-looking limited edition of its MC20 supercar.

Dubbed the Notte Edition, the Italian carmaker only plans to make 50 examples of what can only be described as Batman’s new daily driver, each of which has been inspired by the “mystical and intense power of darkness”. In other words, it’s black.

The only parts of the car you’ll find haven’t been touched by the shade of darkness are the Maserati Trident up front and the MC20 badging on the sides, both coloured in gold.

A set of 20-inch matte black ‘birdcage’ wheels continues the black theme on all four corners, but like the badges, they also get a touch of gold detailing. Behind those sit a set of brake calipers finished in you guessed it, black.

On the inside, the driver and passenger get six-way power sport seats clad in black and grey Alcantara upholstery with yellow stitching, while the steering wheel features a dash of carbon fibre.

To let you know what’s what, a metal plate denoting that what you’re sitting in is an MC20 Notte Edition sits between both headrests with a “Uni Di 50” inscription, which translates to “one of 50”.

The Maserati MC20 Notte Edition is now on sale globally but pricing has yet to be outlined for the highly limited model.
