Lexus Service Protect for added peace of mind

Lexus New Zealand has launched Lexus Service Protect. It is a new service that’s now available across the Lexus dealer network.

This aftercare benefit provides eligible owners with a one-year/ 15,000km warranty every time they service their vehicle. It can be at an authorised Lexus dealership or service agent.

This protection package, already embraced by many Lexus owners, is being rolled out across the country.

Michelle Povey, Assistant Vice President of Aftersales Operations at Lexus New Zealand said: “Lexus Service Protect is our way of extending that sense of confidence, offering owners the peace of mind they deserve with every drive.”

The benefit is available to any Lexus under 10 years old and with fewer than 150,000km on the clock. Lexus Service Protect provides an extended warranty covering unforeseen mechanical and electrical breakdowns. And it includes issues with the hybrid system or hybrid battery components.

The service also includes 24/7 roadside assistance and zero excess on approved claims. Moreover, it allows access to accommodation or a rental vehicle if a breakdown occurs more than 50km from home and cannot be resolved within 24 hours.

This protection is transferable if the owner sells their vehicle. So it enhances resale appeal for both buyers and sellers in the pre-owned Lexus market.

Whether a Lexus is new, pre-owned or imported it may be eligible for the service so long as it meets the criteria and passes an inspection if not currently covered by a Lexus warranty.

“Service Protect is our way of recognising the trust our customers place in us. It’s a commitment to care that reflects the values of the Lexus brand – craftsmanship, attention to detail and a drive to exceed expectations at every touchpoint,” added Povey.

All servicing is completed by Lexus-trained technicians using genuine Lexus parts and approved fluids.
