Leapmotor’s first global medium SUV, the B10, will dot down here before the end of the year. It joins larger C10 Electric and Ultra Hybrid models.

Using new LEAP 3.5 architecture, it features an extensive ADAS system (drive assistants), Apple CarPlay integration, and a digital, customisable cockpit. Main dimensions are length of 4515mm long, width of 1885mm wide, and height of 1655mm. It is therefore more compact than C10. The five-seater rides on a 2735mm wheelbase.

Aimed at tech-savvy, eco-conscious drivers, the B10 combines innovation and outstanding value, says Armstrong’s Automotive Group. Special features include a panoramic sunroof, a 14.6 inch central touchscreen, and 420-1415L of luggage capacity. Expect also powered, heated and ventilated seats, 18-inch wheels and a pair of wireless phone chargers. Instead of a glove compartment, the B10 will feature mounting holes for items like cell phone holders or tray tables.
Rear driver
Powering the B10 is a 160kW/240Nm motor driving the rear wheels. Acceleration from zero to 100 evidently takes 6.8sec. A 56 or 67kWh LFP battery pack will be offered, the latter said to offer range of up to 490km WLTP.

Armstrong’s Automotive Group suggests the B10 “represents a major step forward in Leapmotor’s global expansion and a bold new addition to the electric SUV landscape”. It’s all about Leapmotor’s “Excellence within Reach.”
Simon Rutherford, CEO at Auto Distributors New Zealand, said “The B10 is perfectly aligned with what New Zealand drivers are increasingly looking for—electric, practical, high-tech vehicles with standout design and smart features, all at an accessible price point.”

Its debut in New Zealand reflects Leapmotor’s commitment to becoming a serious player in the country’s growing EV segment.
This launch will also benefit from Leapmotor’s partnership with Stellantis. Together with Armstrong’s, this collaboration ensures Kiwis will have access to a reliable after-sales network, providing confidence and peace of mind as they transition to electric mobility.

Pricing will be revealed closer to the launch. B10 will rival the likes of BYD Atto 3 and Honda e:N1.
More dealerships
Leapmotor is expanding its retail network across New Zealand to support the arrival of the B10 and future models, some of which arrive next year. There are now four major locations, two in Auckland (Greenlane. Botany) and one each in Wellington (Lower Hutt) and Christchurch, with more to follow as the brand continues to grow.
