An electric hatchback from Leapmotor that will compete with VW Golf and MG4 will use the same platform as the C10 and B10 (below) SUVs.

And the world will get its first glimpse of the newcomer at the upcoming Munich motor show.
It is one of three new vehicles from Leapmotor, the B10 already mentioned and the other being hatchback. All are due within the next two years as Leapmotor expands its global offerings.

Evidently the B05 will be a compact relation of the B01 saloon (above) that was revealed earlier in the year. The B05 will utilise the common Leap 3.5 platform of the C10 and B10. It evidently has the same claimed 650km of range.
Expect some design cues of B05 to come from its sibs, like main wraparound light bars, sporty wheel designs and an aerodynamically optimised outline.

The interior will likely have the same 14.6in infotainment touchscreen and decent quality materials as C10.
Before B05 launches, the firm will debut the B10 (below), a small-medium electric crossover to take on the likes of the Ford Explorer and Peugeot e-3008.

Leapmotor says it intends to sell six models by 2027.
Another new model that will join the line-up at some point before 2027 is an entry-level crossover, the A10. This will rival the likes of Renault 4 and Jeep Avenger.

And after that a hatchback using the A10 mechanicals will debut, the A05. It will be another of the growing number of city car contenders. Included are the ID.1, Grande Panda, ë-C3 and Epiq.
Leapmotor is expanding quickly, the 10-year-old firm’s products now available from 1500 retail sites worldwide. It aims to be one of the world’s five top EV brands within a few years.

Currently Leapmotor sells just the C10 here in electric form and as a range extender hybrid. Whether the latter is used to power anything else in the line-up is unclear at present.
