Lancia unveils new HF logo for upcoming performance models

Mid-1980s rallying legend turned swanky Italian carmaker Lancia has today unveiled its revitalised HF logo that will be featured on all of its future high-performance vehicles.

The first car to be given the HF treatment is the new Ypsilon hatchback that was revealed early this year as part of the company’s big rebrand.

We’re told the new model will be released next year and feature a fully electric drivetrain that produces 179kW, propelling the car from 0 to 100km/h in 5.8 seconds. Better yet, it’ll also be lower and have a wider track than the standard Ypsilon.

With that out of the way, the logo itself remains faithful to the original that was released in 1960 to celebrate the creation of “Lancia Hi-Fi”, a club reserved for the brand’s most loyal customers.

The new logo features all of the original colours, including white, red, and black, as well as the ‘little elephant’ graphic in the centre – a symbol of good luck and victory.

“At the occasion of the debut of the movie Race for Glory in the major Italian theaters, I am delighted to unveil the new HF logo, which will make its debut on the New Lancia Ypsilon HF, before being used on the future high-performance versions of the brand,” says Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia.

That’s not all we have to look forward to though, as the chief executive had more exciting news for us on the motorsport front, stating: “Will we return to the Rally? We are working on it.”

Exciting things to come.
