In America, Shane van Gisbergen lines up once again in the NASCAR Cup Series at the Charlotte Roval. Known for its mix of oval banking and infield road course sections, the Roval is a track where SVG’s road racing pedigree makes him one of the firm favourites. He’ll also be wanting to build on his strong oval form shown at Kansas last weekend.

In Formula 1, Liam Lawson returns after a best ever fifth-place finish at Baku, this time competing in the Singapore Grand Prix. The Marina Bay Street Circuit is hard on the drivers, demanding a good grid position and plenty of concentration as there are limited overtaking opportunities. Moreover, it is run under at night under floodlights.
