Kia has given the world a glimpse of its next-generation Seltos ahead of its global unveiling later this week.
Set to be revealed in full on December 10, this second-generation Seltos has adopted Kia’s signature futuristic design.

According to a release from the Korean brand, this is an ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy.
The images show a radically-redesigned headlight, with a large daytime running light on the front corner.
Another image shows how the Seltos has retained its signature roofline, with the detached C-pillar behind the rear window.
At the rear, it looks to be a similar story, with new squared-off taillights. It also looks to be wearing wheels reminiscent of those on the Kia EV3.

Though it won’t get pure electric power, as that is reserved for its ‘EV’ model range, this new Seltos will benefit from a hybrid powertrain similar to that of the Hyundai Kona hybrid.
Here, a 1.6-litre petrol engine is paired with a 32kW/172Nm electric motor, and a 1.3kWh battery.
It is also rumoured to get an electric all-wheel drive system, but this will be confirmed later this week when the Seltos is officially unveiled.
