Jaecoo J7 Super Hybrid proves popular in the UK

Within seven months of its UK launch, the Jaecoo J7 has surpassed 10,000 orders.

Nice enough profile for Jaecoo J7, right?

The J7 SHS was the UK’s best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) in August 2025. Moreover, Jaecoo and Omoda models achieved a combined three per cent market share in August. Almost three-quarters of J7 sales in the UK are the super hybrid PHEVs.

The SHS offers a driving experience that priorities EV, with low emissions, long range, and petrol flexibility.

According to Roy Munoz, Chief Commercial Officer of Omoda Jaecoo AUS & NZ, the success in the UK demonstrates increasing demand for intelligent hybrid solutions.

He expects similar growth in New Zealand, where consumer interest is on the rise. More SHS-equipped models are due for release later in the year, reinforcing the brand’s investment in hybrid mobility.

Practical mid-sized SUV with lots of range, around 1000km non-stop if need be.

The J7 SHS uses Jaecoo’s third-generation hybrid technology. It combines the efficiency of electric power with the practicality of an internal combustion engine. Its self-charging system ensures the battery never fully depletes, maintaining consistent electric assistance. This enables drivers to achieve up to 1200km on a single tank of fuel and a single battery charge.

Jaecoo’s performance in the UK, alongside building momentum in New Zealand, underscores the company’s strategy to expand globally with its PHEV solutions.
