GWM has opened the order books on its first PHEV, the Haval H6GT. Arriving in Q1 2025, as suggested here, the H6GT PHEV offers drivers a mix of performance, efficiency and cutting-edge technology.

Priced at $58,990 plus ORC, the H6GT PHEV is based on the ‘Ultra’ model. It runs a 1.5L turbocharged hybrid engine producing 110kW and 230Nm. This is complemented by three motors, two up front and one at the rear. Integrated with the 4WD system, the rear motor delivers 135kW and 232Nm. This combination offers sports performance and more than 1000km of range. With 342kW and 762Nm of system output, GWM says the H6GT PHEV can run from zero to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds.

It also delivers an electric-only range of up to 180km thanks to its substantial 35.4kWh battery pack. This extended range ensures owners can cover greater distances with zero emissions, reducing fuel consumption and range anxiety in daily driving.

Steve Maciver, GWM Haval’s Head of Marketing & Communications, says: “This class-leading technology and range will empower owners to enjoy all-electric driving for a majority of their urban trips. And the hybrid system ensures peace of mind on those longer journeys. This model is a significant milestone for GWM, showcasing our commitment to pioneering EV solutions that enhance the driving experience without compromise.”

Here is an H6 GT of some description.

The vehicle offers AC charging at 6.6kW or DC charging at 48kW. With the latter, a 30-80 per cent refill takes around 26min.

The GWM H6GT PHEV is now available for pre-order. Interested customers should visit their local GWM dealership or register their interest here.
