Geneva Finance marks 20 years with unveiling of modernised brand

by Zane Shackleton
April 8, 2022

Any big birthday tends to initiate some reflection as well as forward planning – and the 20-year milestone of Kiwi financial services business Geneva Finance has the company’s leaders thinking about the brand and its services, and how the next 20 years can be used to make Kiwis’ financial lives better.

In 2022 the company’s leaders are investing in Geneva’s future by modernising the brand and direct-to-consumer positioning with the explicit goal of doing even more to help Kiwis with their financial needs. Already known for its quality service and the ability to assist customers from all walks of life, a bigger content drive will have Geneva’s website frequently updated with useful information about topics such as the effect of recent legislative changes on the loan application process, so consumers know what a loan company looks for when assessing an application and what its obligations are as a responsible lender.

The rebrand, which includes a bright new logo and modern, visionary, and vibrant look and feel, is the most extensive the company has ever undertaken and reflects its core focus of providing all New Zealanders with access to fair personal financial services. The new website is easy to navigate and allows customers to do a quick repayment calculation before making an online application. Applying for the loan takes only minutes, and the Geneva team ensures the loan is tailored to meet the individual’s requirements.

As a specialist in car, light commercial vehicle, trailer, boat and jet ski finance, personal and homeowner loans, and insurance, Geneva Finance’s lending has traditionally originated through the broker and dealer network. The new direction allows Geneva to reach consumers directly.

Geneva Finance Managing Director David O’Connell says, “The business has had impressive longevity because we have always focused on matching our services to what customers need at the time, such as matching repayments to pay cycles to make budgeting easier. Our focus, as we pass this important milestone, is on how we can keep both refining and scaling up. Our direction is clear, and customers will see even better and more tailored services from us than ever before.

Simon Moore, Sales and Lending Manager of Geneva Finance, says, “The majority of our customers use our services to purchase a vehicle. We understand the importance of a reliable vehicle as a tool to get to work and get children to and from school, and our focus is on ensuring our customers have access to a reliable service where they have certainty about their financial situation and access to all the resources and support they need. This is where we specialise and have proved our worth, as our 20 years attest.”
