Geneva Finance appoints two new heads
Steven Te Waiti has been appointed by Geneva Finance as Head of Lending and Sales, taking responsibility for the growth of the company’s dealer-broker and direct-lending portfolios.
He will also be leading, coaching and mentoring Geneva’s business development team. Steven is a proven high performing sales leader with an extensive background in motor vehicle finance.
Over the years he has built long term relationships with Brokers and Dealerships and is keen to tackle this new challenge where he can draw on his depth of experience in the industry and make a substantial contribution to the growth of Geneva’s motor vehicle and personal loan portfolios.
Te Waiti takes on the role after spending the previous four years as Group Manager Finance and Aftercare at Eagers Automotive New Zealand. His other past roles include spells at BMW Financial Services and UDC Finance.
Greg Main is the new Head of Quest Insurance Group, a subsidiary of Geneva Finance, and brings more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance, banking and risk management industry to the job.
He has extensive experience in general and life insurance including product management/development, distribution (direct, intermediated and broker), underwriting and pricing, lending, risk management and compliance.
Greg also has a strong background in the strategic development of insurance products and is an accomplished leader who is experienced in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
He is excited to be joining Quest Insurance and working with the team to strengthen their capability to support their distribution partners and customers throughout New Zealand, saying “Quest is a great business and well placed for future growth.”
Main has been a director of GBM Consulting, which provides services to the insurance and finance industry, since 2013.
In the past he has also been Head of General Insurance at the Medical Assurance Society, Chief Executive Officer of DPL Insurance and General Manager Lending at Dorchester, and General Manager of Lumley Business Solutions at Lumley Insurance.
