Ford New Zealand has made Gregor MacDonald its Network Strategy Director. In this role he will oversee all aspects of the Ford dealer network.
It is considered a key leadership and relationship role that will be critical to Ford’s ongoing success in a rapidly evolving automotive scene. In this role, MacDonald will be implementing strategic commercial growth opportunities, including company fleet business. He will also head up Ford New Zealand’s market representation activities, Customer Experience strategy and Ford Academy. These are key aspects of the business that focus on customer experience and dealer excellence.
MacDonald joins Ford New Zealand after a twenty-year career in the New Zealand automotive industry involving multiple brands. He helped establish the Isuzu network in New Zealand, and was marketing manager at the Ateco Group. More recently he was the driving force in doubling Kia New Zealand’s market share. There he was General Manager of Sales and Marketing.

MacDonald will start in his new role with Ford New Zealand on 21 August.
