The end of the road is approaching for the Ford GT, with a limited-run final-edition model that celebrates its 2016 24 Hour of Le Mans win.

Just 20 examples of the Ford GT LM Edition will be made, complete with a Liquid Silver exterior colour.

Red or blue exposed carbon fibre can be optioned for the lower aerodynamic components of the car, paying homage to the livery of the Le Mans winning No. 68 Ford GT. The colours adorn the front splitter, side sills and door sills, engine bay louvres, mirror stalks and rear diffuser.

Gloss carbon fibre 20-inch wheels with red or blue inner barrel accents add to the Le Mans racer theme, alongside black Brembo brake calipers.

A unique 3D titanium-printed dual-exhaust comes fitted to the GT LM, blasting the 492kW twin-turbo EcoBoost V6’s sound out the rear.

Inside, the GT LM features Alcantara-wrapped carbon fibre seats in red or blue for the driver. The chosen colour is mirrored on the passenger seat’s stitching as well as the engine start button.

All 20 cars will feature a piece of the 2016 Le Mans No. 69 Ford GT, the third place getter. The team at Ford located the race car’s engine which was disassembled and they ground its crank shaft into a fine metal powder. It was then used to create the GT LM’s instrument panel badge through 3D printing.

Customer deliveries will start in the coming months, with production wrapping up by the end of this year.
