Ford adds Tremor spec to Everest line-up

Ford New Zealand has added the Everest Tremor to its line up as ‘a rugged and capable’ expansion of its SUV family. 

It is said to be ‘designed for adventurers seeking off-road dominance without compromising on towing capacity or on-road comfort, the Everest Tremor is ready to conquer any terrain’. Gee, sounds up for it.

V6 power for Everest Tremor and enhanced suspension

The Tremor model will be powered by the familiar 3.0-litre V6 diesel delivering 184kW of power and 600Nm of torque. Like the Ranger Tremor, the Everest version comes rolling on more ‘up for it’ rubber, the alloys coming wrapped in General Grabber AT3 All-Terrain tyres which are said to provide 26mm of additional ground clearance compared with the standard Everest. Tremor also comes with  Bilstein Position-Sensitive Dampers and new springs which probably help when you are out ‘conquering any terrain’. 

When things really get serious, you could use the Tremor’s Rock Crawl Drive Mode. According to Ford this; ‘optimises traction and momentum on loose and rocky surfaces, ensuring confident off-road exploration’. It is unique to Tremor while the variant also comes with a 3500kg braked tow rating.

Distinguished by a ‘rugged’ design 

Tremor gets a ‘Rugged Exterior Design’ with a distinctive honeycomb grille with auxiliary LED lamps, a steel bash plate, heavy-duty side steps, and signature Tremor badging. Inside, the Tremor also features a ‘premium interior’ with Tremor-embossed leather accented seats, ebony-coloured interior accents, and all-weather floor mats.

Ford Everest Tremor NZ Pricing and Availability

The 2025.25MY Everest Tremor has a recommended retail price of $87,990+ on road costs. The Tremor will be available in the exclusive Command Grey exterior colour along with Meteor Grey, Arctic White and Absolute Black. Numbers are said to be limited.
