Ferrari has finished construction of its new e-Vortex test circuit, a purpose-built track designed to enhance how the brand develops and validates its high-performance road cars. The new facility sits adjacent to Ferrari’s iconic Fiorano circuit in Maranello and was completed in less than four months.

Covering 37,000 square metres and stretching around two kilometres, e-Vortex marks a major upgrade to Ferrari’s vehicle testing capabilities. The circuit has been engineered to allow precise, repeatable, and safe evaluations of every car rolling off the production line.

The track is split into several dedicated sectors including banked corners, a central straight, and a complex of handling curves, each designed to analyse specific aspects of a car’s performance, comfort, and dynamics. Ferrari says the unique road surfaces have been developed using its in-house expertise to closely simulate real-world driving conditions.

By moving more of its vehicle testing from public roads to e-Vortex, Ferrari expects to speed up performance assessments and identify any issues earlier, while also reducing local traffic impacts around Maranello.

The project also includes a 1,000-square-metre workshop, where engineers can carry out static checks and refinements on vehicles between test runs.
Ferrari describes e-Vortex as a key step in its drive to refine quality control and ensure every new model meets the brand’s legendary standards for precision, performance, and driving emotion.
