The Fiorano circuit is used by Ferrari for testing and development purposes and all its cars have set benchmark times around the 2.997km track. The Italian recently revealed the new 296 Speciale, the track focused version of its V6-powered hybrid sportscar. Although blistering acceleration gets the school kids excited (and if you’re wondering the 296 Speciale has a claimed 0-100km/h time of 2.8sec and does nought to two hundy in seven flat) the Fiorano track time is a better arbiter of overall potential.
