Dean Sheed joins MG as country business manager

Former European Motor Distributors (EMD) executive, Dean Sheed, has a new job. He will take the reins as country business manager for MG Motor in New Zealand. His new position begins August 11.

Sheed has been part of the automotive industry for almost 40 years, beginning with Ford New Zealand in 1987.

While at the Giltrap Group, Sheed was GM of VW for 13 years and ran Audi NZ for 11 years.

He is also involved with both Drive Electric and the German-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (INC).  

Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, he said: “I am pleased to share that I’ve officially joined MG Motor as country business manager, leading the brand’s continued expansion and commercial performance across New Zealand.

“It’s an exciting opportunity to work with one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in the region — a company that blends rich heritage with modern innovation, agility, and momentum.

“In this role, I’ll be partnering closely with our dealer network and fleet customers to drive sales growth, strengthen showroom performance, and build our presence and customer proposition nationwide.
